CLEARWATER, Fla. (January 28, 2017) – Tallahassee Community College's softball team picked up a pair of wins on Saturday at the JUCO Kickoff Tournament and Showcase.
The Eagles finished the weekend event by splitting four games.
After dropping its season opener on Friday, a 1-0 loss to Miami Dade College, Tallahassee got into the win column in Saturday's first game, a 9-0 win over Eastern Florida State College.
The Eagles kept the momentum rolling in their second game of the day, knocking off NJCAA (DII) No. 10 Illinois Central College, 11-6.
Tallahassee dropped its final game of the day, a 9-1 decision to NJCAA No. 13 Indian River State College.
The Eagles will return to action on February 4 and 5 at the Triple Crown College Classic in St. Augustine, Fla.
