#TCCSoftball swept by Chipola in finale

MARIANNA, Fla. (April 18, 2018) – Chipola College swept a doubleheader from Tallahassee Community College on Wednesday, winning 10-0 and 8-0 in the Eagles' season finale. 

Tallahassee ends the season with a record of 11-34-1, 1-18 in Panhandle Conference play. Conference champion Chipola bounced back from its first loss of the season to improve to 46-1, 18-1 in league play. 

In the opener, Chipola's Krystal Goodman pitched a no-hitter in the 10-0 win. 

Tallahassee starter Shaquoya Williams (3-8) allowed only two hits through the first three innings, and Chipola had but a 2-0 lead when it came to bat in the bottom of the fourth. 

The Indians exploded for eight runs in the fourth, sending 13 batters to the plate and collecting seven hits. Three consecutive errors extended the inning and accounted for Chipola's final three runs. 

In game two, five errors led to seven unearned runs in Chipola's 8-0 win. 

The Indians ended the game in the fifth on Amy Woodham's three-run, walk-off homer. 

Ismay Poot and Monica Marquez each went 1-for-2 for Tallahassee.

Sidney Mathis (4-11) struck out five for the Eagles.
