#TCCSoftball falls in home finale

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (April 12, 2019) – Tallahassee Community College's softball team dropped its final home game of the 2019 season on Friday, falling to Chipola College, 17-1.

Tallahassee is 16-32 (3-16 Panhandle Conference) heading into Sunday's season finale at Pensacola State College.

Chipola sent 12 batters to the plate and scored seven runs in the top of the first, knocking out Tallahassee starter Emma Fowler (2-15) in the process. The scoring didn't let up, as the Indians added two in the second, one in the third, four in the fourth and three in the fifth.

Meanwhile, Brittany Bailey no-hit the Eagles, despite losing the shutout bid with two outs in the fifth when a defensive error allowed River Glenn to score.

Tallahassee and Pensacola State are scheduled for a 2 p.m. eastern first pitch on Sunday.
