NICEVILLE, Fla. (December 14, 2016) – Jas Hill scored 27 points, Japonica James added 25 and NJCAA No. 11/Region 8 No. 3 Tallahassee Community College won its ninth straight game, defeating Florida State College at Jacksonville, 97-76, on day one action at the Northwest Florida State College Winter Classic.
The Eagles are now 12-1.
Hill tied the school record for three-pointers, finishing 8-of-15 from long distance. She also pulled down 10 rebounds to complete the double-double.
James, meanwhile, hit 11-of-16 field goal attempts and 6-of-8 from the line.
Tallahassee led by just one point after the first quarter but outscored the Blue Wave in the second, 27-12, and led 48-32 at the intermission.
Lawriell Wilson was the only other player in double-figures for Tallahassee with 15.
