#TCCBasketball: Eagle women roll to 2-0

OCALA, Fla. (November 7, 2018) – Tallahassee Community College's women's basketball team rolled to its second victory of the season on Tuesday, defeating the College of Central Florida, 100-39. 

Tallahassee led wire-to-wire on its way to a 2-0 start to the season. 

The Eagles jumped out to a 31-12 lead after one quarter then delivered the knockout punch in the second. Tallahassee outscored the host Patriots, 22-3, in the second quarter and led 53-15 at the half. 

Through 20 minutes, Tallahassee limited Central Florida to just 20.8 percent (5-of-24) shooting from the floor. 

Tallahassee was in cruise control in the second half. The Eagles led 78-30 through three quarters then outscored the Patriots, 22-9, in the fourth – the fourth single-digit defensive quarter in just two games. 

Five players scored in double-figures for Tallahassee, led by Juliunn Redmond's 20. Daisha Bradord had 17 while Aliyah Lawson and De'Asia Reid scored 14 each. Tameria Johnson added 11. 

Jamyra McChristine scored four points and pulled down 10 rebounds. 

Tallahassee will return to play on Saturday when it hosts St. Petersburg College at 2 p.m.
