#TCCBasketball: Eagle women stay unbeaten

PHENIX CITY, Ala. (November 15, 2018) – NJCAA No. 5/Region 8 No. 3 Tallahassee Community College stayed unbeaten with an 85-66 win at Chattahoochee Valley (Ala.) Community College on Thursday evening. 

The Eagles reached the 5-0 mark for the second straight season and third time in six years under head coach Franqua "Q" Bedell. 

After four straight victories of at least 36 points, the defending national champions had a harder time extinguishing the Pirates' upset bid. 

In fact, Tallahassee trailed after the first quarter (14-13) for the first time this season but used a 26-13 second quarter to grab a 39-27 lead at the intermission. 

The Eagles all but put the game away, outscoring the Pirates, 31-21, in the third and led 70-59 heading to the final quarter. 

Tallahassee will wrap up a three-game road trip on Saturday when it travels to Bishop (Ala.) State Community College. Tip-off is 3 p.m. eastern.
