Bio

Alana Dunphy is beginning her first season as an assistant coach for TCC Women's Basketball, serving under head coach Mercedes Corona. 

This is Dunphy's first coaching role after concluding her collegiate playing career. She transferred to Florida A&M University for her senior season, where she appeared in five games for the Rattlers. She graduated from FAMU with a bachelor's degree in social science. Prior to transferring to FAMU, she played at the University of Alabama, where she was part of a team that reached the NCAA Tournament for the first time in 22 years. 

Dunphy also has experience in the NJCAA, having spent the first two years of her collegiate playing career at Dodge City Community College in Dodge City, KS. She appeared in eight games her freshman season (2018-19) before suffering a season-ending injury forcing her to redshirt. She became a regular starter her sophomore season (2019-20), appearing in 29 games and making 20 starts. She averaged 4.5 points and 5.4 rebounds per game and led the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference with 76 blocks. 

Dunphy, a Eureka, CA native, played for Eureka High School.
