Bio

De'Ja Jeffery is beginning her first season as an assistant coach for TCC Women's Basketball, serving under head coach Mercedes Corona. 

Jeffery. a Tallahassee native, is coming to Tallahassee Community college with over seven years of coaching and skill development experience. 

Jeffery most recently served as the skill development coach at Thomas University (2021-22), serving under head coach Myron Brown. While with the Night Hawks, her focus was working with guards. 

Prior to coaching at Thomas, Jeffery was the head girls basketball coach at Chiles High School in Tallahassee (2019-21), where she led the Timberwolves to a district championship appearance and had two winning seasons. 

Jeffery began her coaching career at Florida High as the Associate Head Coach (2016-19), where she focused on skill development at the guard position. In 2017, she helped lead the Seminoles to an appearance in the FHSAA 5A Championship game, where they fell against Jones High School. The Seminoles had a deep run in the tournament again in 2018, reaching the 5A Region 1 finals, where they lost to Fernandina Beach. In 2019, they reached the Region 1 finals for a third consecutive years, but once again lost in a narrow contest to Raines. 

Jeffery played collegiate basketball at the College of Central Florida after graduating from the Maclay School in 2013. She is a mother to an amazing seven-year-old son named Bryson Levi.
