Giddens makes outdoor track debut

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (February 3, 2018) - Tallahassee Community College's new sports, women's outdoor track, made its debut on Saturday. Meagan Giddens, the 2017 FCSAA Women's Cross Country State Champion, ran in the North Florida All-ages Track Meet on Saturday. 

Giddens, who is from Perry, Fla., has exhausted her NJCAA cross country eligibility but was running in her first collegiate track event. She redshirted as a track participant at Florida Atlantic University in 2017. 

Giddens, whose lone event was the 1600m run, posted a time of 6:02.95 to establish the school record and good for third place. 

Giddens' next scheduled event is the FAMU Relays on Saturday, March 3.
