Printiss named NATYCAA Scholar-Athlete Honorable Mention

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (May 18, 2020) – Tallahassee Community College's Genevieve Printiss has earned Honorable Mention recognition on the National Alliance of Two Year College Athletic Administrators' (NATYCAA) 2020 Scholar-Athlete Team.

Each of NATYCAA's nine districts selected a male and female scholar-athlete winner, who comprised the Scholar-Athlete Team. Printiss was a nominee for District 3's Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

Printiss, a native of Carrabelle, Fla., graduated from TCC with a perfect 4.0 GPA and is collecting an impressive list of academic accolades in the process. She has already been named NJCAA Scholar All-America by the NJCAA Cross Country Coaches Association, received the FCSAA's Larry Monts Scholar-Athlete Award for women's cross country, is a nominee for the state's female scholar-athlete of the year and was named TCC's Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

She was a two-year letterwinner in cross country and was about to embark on her sophomore season in track when the COVID-19 pandemic ended the 2020 season just as it was getting started. In 2019, she finished third at the FCSAA Cross Country Championships to earn All-State honors and placed 67th overall at the NJCAA Championships in Albuquerque, N.M. As a freshman, she qualified for the NJCAA Division I Track Championships.
