Eagles kick off season at the TCC Open
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (September 8, 2023) — TCC Cross Country opened their 2023 season with the TCC Open, where the Eagles hosted five schools including NCAA Division I teams Florida State and Florida A&M.
Alyssa Spagnoli led the way for the Eagles, finishing in 13th place with a time of 23:04:00. Spagnoli's time is the fastest for a TCC runner at this event since 2019, when Genevieve Printiss finished the 5K in 21:36.32. Trista Heffren (Fr.) was the next Eagle to cross the finish line, at 28:09:00, good for 20th place. Shortly behind her was Gianna Ennis (Fr.) in 22nd (28:38:00). There were a total of 31 runners in the Women's 5K race.
TCC's next meet is Friday, September 22 in Pensacola at the Argonaut Invitational, on the University of West Florida campus.
