Athletic Department Internships
Are you interested in a career in college athletics? The Tallahassee Community College Department of Athletics has various internship opportunities for students to obtain hands-on experience in athletics communications, athletics game operations, athletic training, live events, and marketing & promotions. Job descriptions are listed below.
Students are asked to commit to at least one full semester, however, internships are renewable. All interns will be required to complete a background check.

Athletics Communications
- Positions Available: 5 (1 per assignment), priority to returning students
- Rate of Pay: Volunteer, class credit or work-study
- Job Description: Assist the Director of Athletics with coverage of eight NJCAA sports; assignment opportunities include social media, graphic design, photographer, videographer and sports information. See application for responsibilities of each assignment.

Athletics Game Operations
- Positions Available: 2, priority to returning students
- Rate of Pay: Volunteer, class credit or work-study
- Job Description: Set up and break down athletic facilities for home events; work with Director of Athletics and Campus Recreation and Sports Facility Manager (for basketball events only) on game day management, hosting visiting teams and officials, fan assistance and ticket sales.

Live Events
- Positions Available: 4 (1 per assignment), priority to returning students
- Rate of Pay: Volunteer, class credit or work-study
- Job Description: Assist in live production of home athletic events for broadcast on TCCeagles.com and Facebook; assignment opportunities include broadcast engineer, on-air talent (play-by-play and color commentator) and camera operator; assist in technical setup and breakdown of athletic facilities for media and live production team

Marketing & Promotions
- Positions Available: Flexible, priority to returning students
- Rate of Pay: Volunteer, class credit or work-study
- Job Description: Assist in marketing, promotions and game day operations for Tallahassee Community College athletic events, includes administering in-game promotions; on-campus tabling to distribute posters, schedule cards and other promotional materials and raise aware to athletic events; assist the director of athletics in creation and implementation of sports marketing plans and completion of sport season wrap-ups; interact with fans who attend athletic events

Auditions for Public Address Announcer
- Show us what you've got and you could be selected as the public address announcer for TCC Basketball's 2021-22 season
- This is a volunteer opportunity
- Must be available to work evenings and weekends and may have to work holidays and Spring Break
- Download the audition script and record yourself doing pregame introductions. E-mail the recording to brittany.christie@tcc.fl.edu.
- Commitment: November 2021-February 2022
Auditions for National Anthem at Home Events
- Warm up those patriotic vocal cords. The TCC Eagles want you to audition to sing the National Anthem prior to a home athletic event during the 2021-22 season.
- This is a volunteer opportunity
- Bands, choirs, groups and individuals are invited to participate
- Submit a recording to brittany.christie@tcc.fl.edu. A YouTube link will suffice. Please let us know if you have ever performed the National Anthem live.
- Events will be assigned on a first-come basis
Federal Work-Study
- Federal work-study is a way for students with financial need to earn money to pay for college or career schools through part-time jobs. The program encourages work related to the student’s course of study.
- Possible work-study jobs available for students with Tallahassee Community College Athletics: Game day operations (public address, statistics); marketing and promotions; live stream broadcast team (engineer, camera operator); athletics gym and/or weight room monitor
