TSC Eagles Complete Sweep of Grand Rapids Raiders in Thrilling Doubleheader

 

TALLAHASSEE Fla -  February 24, 2025 – The TSC Eagles capped off a spectacular doubleheader sweep against the Grand Rapids Raiders, securing a 5-3 victory in Game 1 and a dramatic 9-8 win in Game 2. The Eagles' offensive power and clutch performances on the mound were key in the two-game sweep.

Game 1 Highlights
The Eagles were dominant in Game 1, led by a stellar pitching performance from J.D. Hay, who earned the win after pitching 5.0 scoreless innings, allowing just 2 hits and striking out 3. Hay's command on the mound kept the Raiders at bay, giving the Eagles a solid foundation for their offense.

On the offensive side, Cade Culbreth provided the big hit with a home run, while also driving in 3 RBIs. Gabe Del Fuoco contributed a strong performance behind the plate, a double and driving in 1 RBI. Keuri Martinez also chipped in with a key double, while William McDonald added an RBI.

Game 2 Highlights
Game 2 was a nail-biter, with the Eagles overcoming a late deficit to win 9-8. Trailing 8-6 in the bottom of the sixth, Hunter Rebhan ignited the comeback with a 3-run home run, tying the game and shifting the momentum back in the Eagles' favor. The game ended with Andrew Duncan's walk-off hit, bringing in the winning run and completing the sweep for the Eagles.

Emery Dawkins came in as relief and was spectacular on the mound, earning the win by throwing 3 scoreless innings and striking out 8 batters. His dominant performance in the final stretch was a key factor in the Eagles' ability to hold off the Raiders' offense and get the win.
