JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (February 2, 2016) - Tallahassee Community College's baseball team stayed perfect on the young season with a 12-1 win over Florida State College at Jacksonville on Tuesday evening.
Tallahassee, who picked up four wins against nationally-ranked teams during the opening weekend, improved to 5-0.
Kyle Cavanaugh led the Eagles' offensive attack by going 3-for-4 with four RBIs.
Junior Gorordo (1-0) started and pitched the first five innings to notch the win for the Eagles. Octavio Marin pitched the final four innings to earn the save.
Tallahassee will play its home opener on Thursday against Abraham Baldwin (Ga.) Agricultural College as part of the TCC Diamond Classic. First pitch is scheduled for 5 p.m.
