
Stepping Stones: Nick Marchese, North Florida
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (July 10, 2017) – Tallahassee Community College baseball standout Nick Marchese has signed a national letter of intent with the University of North Florida.
A native of Plantation, Fla., Marchese, a right-handed pitcher who stands six-foot-four, recently completed a two-year career (2016-17) with head coach Mike McLeod’s Eagles.
Marchese appeared in 30 career games, finishing with an 8-6 record and three saves while posting a 4.41 ERA. He also recorded four career complete games, including a no-hitter vs. Thomas (Ga.) University’s JV on February 22, 2016.
Marchese also excelled in the classroom. He was twice named All-Academic by both the FCSAA and Panhandle Conference, and he was the Eagles’ male scholar-athlete of the year in 2017.
North Florida, located in Jacksonville, Fla., is a member of the Atlantic Sun Conference. There, Marchese will join former Tallahassee teammate Mac Wilson on the Ospreys’ roster.
