
Stepping Stones: Alex Stobert, Miami (Ohio)
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (July 23, 2018) – Tallahassee Community College baseball standout Alex Stobert has signed a national letter of intent with Miami University.
Stobert, a native of Sarver, Pa., brought a stellar resume to Tallahassee when he signed with the Eagles out of Knoch High School in 2016. In two seasons under head coach Mike McLeod, the 6-foot-3 right-handed pitcher delivered a 6-5 record, three saves and a 4.21 ERA in 37 career appearances.
As a sophomore in 2018, Stobert was 4-3 and posted a 2.94 ERA in 20 appearances while striking out 72 in just 70.1 innings, earning Second-team All-Panhandle Conference honors from the league coaches.
For his career, Stobert struck out 105 batters.
Academically, Stobert was named All-Academic by both the FCSAA and Panhandle Conference in 2018.
Located in Oxford, Ohio, the NCAA Division I Redhawks compete in the Mid-American Conference.
