TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (January 25, 2019) – Tallahassee Community College opened the 2019 baseball season with a 7-4 win over Pasco-Hernando State College on Friday evening at Eagle Field.
The Eagles jumped on the Bobcats in their first at-bat, scoring a pair of runs and never trailed. They added two more in the second and put the game away with three runs in the sixth.
Ridge Abinsay was 2-for-4 with an RBI, and Cyrus Grimes was 2-for-2 with an RBI and three runs scored.
Tyler Lehrmann (1-0) picked up the win in relief. He tossed 3.2 innings and allowed only one run and three hits while striking out three.
Kyle Benson recorded the save.
The teams will wrap up their weekend series with a doubleheader on Saturday beginning at 1 p.m.
