Extremely athletic…is a high-riser…look forward to working with him over the next two years to develop his skills and knowledge of the game.
HIGH SCHOOL: Local product who prepped at Leon High School… played for coach Rick Davis…ranked among the top 100 prep basketball players in the state of Florida by several recruiting services…missed most of his senior season with a knee injury but still averaged 14.6 points, 8.1 rebounds and 2.5 blocks in a limited role and was named honorable mention All-Big Bend by the Tallahassee Democrat…a first-team All-Big Bend selection in 2012.
PERSONAL: Son of Sherwin and Tonja Smith…born on July 25…also played AAU basketball for Each One Teach One…plans to major in architecture.
