TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (December 2, 2022) – The Eagles got off to a hot start in December with a big win against Henry Ford on Friday night, kicking off the 2022 TCC Classic. They took a strong lead early in the game, finishing the first half up 48-33. Momentum only increased from there as the Eagles strengthened their lead to make it a 20-point game when the final buzzer sounded.
"Great home win," head coach Rick Cabrera commented. "It was a fun day. There are some things we still need to work on, especially transition defense-wise, but we'll get there."
Malachi Davis (G, Soph.) played a dominant game offensively, putting up 25 points for the Eagles and shooting 61% from the field. He also recorded 3 assists and 3 steals. Okechukwu Okeke (F/C, Soph.) was a strong contributor as well, finishing the night with 16 points and 8 rebounds.
The Eagles will be back in the Eagledome Sunday, December 4 to take on Forges Sports Academy in the final game of the TCC Classic. Tipoff is at 2:00 as the team seeks to get their tenth win of the season.
