Addison Patterson named Region 8 Player of the Week

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (February 28, 2023) — For the second time this season, Addison Patterson (G, Soph.) was recognized with NJCAA Region 8 Player of the Week honors. This comes after two stellar performances against Gulf Coast State and Chipola, in which he averaged 29 points, 8 rebounds, and 2.5 steals per game while shooting 53% from the field. This is the second time he's won the award this season, he first won it on January 17 when conference play began. 

This caps off one of the most impressive statistical regular seasons for a TCC Men's Basketball player. Entering the postseason, he's averaging 19.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 2.3 steals per game. In Panhandle Conference play Patterson improved his scoring output, averaging 21.4 points per game. He finished the regular season fifth in Region 8 in scoring and second in the Panhandle Conference. 

The Eagles received an automatic bid to the FCSAA/Region 8 Tournament which starts Thursday, March 9th in Niceville, FL. They'll find out where they are seeded and who they will play in the first round this Thursday.
