Chad Bailey joins Cabrera's staff at Northwestern State

Former TCC men's basketball assistant coach Chad Bailey has joined former head coach Rick Cabrera's staff at Northwestern State. Bailey, a Louisiana native, returns to his home state to serve as Director of Basketball Operations for the Demons, joining two other former TCC assistants, Hayden Harkins and TJ Cox, on staff. 

Bailey was instrumental in TCC's run to the NJCAA Semifinals and 31-6 record in 2023. He oversaw the Eagles' defense and recruited three All-Panhandle Conference players (Byron Smith, Isaiah Kirby, Tom Mark) during his time in Tallahassee.

Cabrera has not only filled his coaching staff at Northwestern State with former TCC coaches, his roster currently includes two former Eagles: Addison Patterson and JC Riley. Patterson was a first-team All-Panhandle Conference and All-FCSAA player in his lone year with TCC. Riley appeared in just two games for TCC after suffering multiple injuries, and he maintained his eligibility after receiving a medical redshirt.
