Two more Eagles qualify for Track and Field Nationals

ALBANY, GA (April 12th, 2022) At this weekend's Albany State University Alice Coachman Invitational, two TCC athletes punched their tickets to NJCAA Nationals.  The Eagles were the only community college program at the meet, which featured NCAA Division I and II schools such as FAMU, Morehouse, and Columbus State.

TCC 400-meter hurdler Troy Williams finished with a time of 54.82, a school record, finishing as the runner-up and qualifying for the NJCAA Nationals.

On the distaff side, Eagle high jumper Fatima Morris took first place overall in the event, with a five-foot, four-inch clearance. Morris's clearance also sets a TCC record and qualifies her for Nationals.

Both Williams and Morris join distance runner Leo Rutledge as qualifiers for NJCAA Nationals, which takes place May 19th-21st in Hutchinson, Kansas.

Rutledge also competed at the Alice Coachman Invitational, winning the 1500-meter event.
