Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College
TIFTON, Ga. (March 8, 2020) – Abraham Baldwin (Ga.) Agricultural College took a pair of games from Tallahassee Community College in Sunday softball action, winning 11-8 and 8-4.
In game one, ABAC scored four times in the bottom of the sixth to erase Tallahassee's 8-7 lead.
The Fillies led 5-3 until Alyssa Krausz hit a two-run homer in the fourth to knot the game at 5-apiece. A three-run fifth put Tallahassee in front, 8-5, but ABAC got two of the runs back in the bottom half.
Jania Davis went 3-for-5 with a triple and two runs scored. Krausz was 2-for-4, as was Stacey Hudson.
Emma Fowler (3-7) took the loss in the circle for Tallahassee.
In game two, ABAC spotted the Eagles a 2-0 lead after one half inning but scored seven times by the end of the second.
Hudson's two-run single cut ABAC's lead to 7-4 in the fifth. She was 1-for-4.
Kassie Weldon was 3-for-3 and Esmee Toet, 2-for-3 and scored twice.
Emily Oakes (2-7) took the game two loss for the Eagles.
Tallahassee will host St. Johns River State College on Thursday for a doubleheader beginning at 2 p.m.
