TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (November 21, 2015) – NJCAA Region 8 No. 6 Tallahassee Community College led from start to finish, defeating previously unbeaten Darton (Ga.) State College 78-67 in Saturday action at the Capital Courtyard Classic.
The Eagles, who entered the Classic on a three-game losing streak, won all three of their games in the event to improve to 6-3 on the season. Darton State fell to 7-1.
Tallahassee jumped out to a 23-9 lead after a quarter and was never seriously threatened the rest of the night. The Eagles increased their lead to 48-28 at the intermission and still held a 20-point lead after the third quarter.
Lawriell Wilson returned to the lineup on Saturday and poured in a team-high 23 points on 8-of-14 shooting. Monique Calliste followed with 17 points, Sabrina Banks added 13 and Lindsday John, 11.
