Central Florida trips up Tallahassee women at the buzzer

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (December 29, 2015) – A last-second field goal propelled the College of Central Florida past Tallahassee Community College, 60-59, on Tuesday afternoon in day one action at the Daytona State Holiday Classic. 

Tallahassee is now 11-5 heading into its final non-conference game at 2 p.m. Wednesday against host Daytona State College, who upset Chipola College, 72-67, in Tuesday's second game. 

Tallahassee defeated Daytona State, 75-67, on November 3, the only blemish on the Falcons' (13-1) schedule to date. 

Tuesday's game was a tale of two halves. 

Tallahassee controlled the game for the first 20 minutes, leading 18-8 after the first quarter and 30-19 at the half. 

Central Florida outscored the Eagles 23-17 in the third quarter to pull within five (47-42) and 18-12 in the fourth to complete the comeback. 

Lawriell Wilson led the Eagles' scoring attack with 16 points. Janessa Murphy added 11. Eboni Watts, playing for the first time in more than a month, had eight points.
