Women's Basketball falls to Gulf Coast State on the road

PANAMA CITY, Fla. (January 18, 2023) — In a tough game against the #6 Gulf Coast State Commodores, TCC Women's Basketball fell to 0-3 in conference after a 96-53 loss. Gulf Coast State controlled the entire game, leading 19-6 after the first quarter and never looking back. The Commodores were ranked first in the country before this week's poll saw them fall to sixth. They lost last weekend against unranked Chipola. 

Skylar Bailey (G, Fresh.) led the team in scoring with 15 points, shooting 6-15 from the field. Za'Naria Robinson (C, Fresh.) recorded he second double-double of the season, scoring 13 points and tallying 13 rebounds. 

The Eagles shot 14-16 from the free throw line. The team currently leads Region 8 and is fifth in NJCAA Division I in free throw percentage (74.2%). 

On Saturday the Eagles host the Chipola Indians at 2:00 PM, the game will be broadcast on ESPN+ as the NJCAA Game of the Week.
