Eagles fall to #4 Northwest Florida at home

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (January 25, 2023) — TCC played host to #4 Northwest Florida State on Wednesday evening in the Bill Hebrock Eagledome, and lost another tough game by a score of 94-69. With the win, Northwest Florida States moves to 5-0 in conference play and holds onto first place. The Eagles fall to 0-5 in conference play. 

Sarai Estupinan (G, Soph.) scored 23 points in the loss, her fourth game scoring at least 20 points. She also added six assists. Sakima Walker was the Raiders' leading scorer with 24 points, shooting 9-15 from the field. 

TCC ranks third in NJCAA Division I in free throw percentage (74.0), while Northwest Florida ranks fifth (73.9). Both teams built upone their amazing output from the charity stripe. TCC shot 14-17 (82.4%) from the line while Northwest Florida shot 17-21 (81.0%). 

The Eagles have this Saturday off and will be back in action next Wednesday, February 1st at Pensacola State College. Tip off is scheduled for 6:30 ET.
