Eagles Prep For Conference Rival Chipola College

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (February 2, 2015) – The No. 13 (NJCAA) Tallahassee Community College Eagles' women's basketball teams will be back in action on Tuesday, February 3 to take on Panhandle Conference foe No. 3 (NJCAA) Chipola College.  The game will tip off at 5:30 p.m. followed by men's action at 7:30 p.m.

Both games will be carried online by Panhandle Sports Broadcasting at www.PSBlive.com.

This will be the second meeting this season between the two schools.

The Eagle women enter this game in third place in the Panhandle Conference. 

Chipola enters the game 22-1 following Saturday's home win over Northwest Florida State College, a victory that avenged the Indians' only loss.

Evelyn Akhator who averages a double-double, 22.0 points and 16.2 rebounds, leads Chipola. In her first meeting against Tallahassee, she scored 17 points and grabbed 18 boards.

In the men's game, Tallahassee is looking to get back on the winning track following three straight losses, including a heartbreaking overtime loss in its most recent appearance the Bill Hebrock Eagledome.

The last time these two teams met, the Eagles pulled out a 61-58 victory on the road. 

Dejuan Marrero and Junior Saintel lead Chipola.  Both Marrero and Saintel average double-figures offensively. Marrero leads the team in scoring with 14.2 points and pulls down an average 12.7 rebounds.
