#TCCWXC: Final race looms at Gulf Shores

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (November 17, 2016) – Last weekend, Tallahassee Community College's women's cross country team completed the 5K portion of its schedule by running in the NJCAA Division I Women's Cross Country Championships.

On Saturday, the Eagles will run their final event of the fall – a much longer event – when it debuts in the NJCAA Half Marathon, taking place at Gulf Shores, Ala.

Branyon Backcountry Trail will be the site for the 13.1 mile race.

Tallahassee will be represented by Samantha Reilly, Mia Wiederkehr, Monet Madeux, Ashley Jones and Ellie Stubblefield

Reilly placed 128th in the NJCAA 5K with a school-record time of 20:40.96. Her specialty is distance running, however, so Saturday's event could be right up her alley.

Wiederkehr took 196th last weekend in a time of 21:41.41. Madeux PRd with a time of 22:09.04 while Jones (23:21.62) and Stubblefield (24:19.97) completed the scoring for Tallahassee.
