#TCCWXC: Eagles place tenth in NJCAA Half Marathon

GULF SHORES, Ala. (November 19, 2016) - Tallahassee Community College's women's cross country team ran the final event of its inaugural season on Saturday and placed tenth in the NJCAA Half Marathon National Championship at Hugh S. Branyon Backcountry Trail in Gulf Shores, Ala.

Tallahassee and fellow Region 8 member Pasco-Hernando State College finished in a ninth-place tie with 102 team points, but the tie-breaker went in favor of the Conquistadors.

Samantha Reilly, the Eagles' top runner all season, was first across the stripe on Saturday, running the 13.1 mile race in 1:37:29, good for 29th place.

Mia Wiederkehr finished 38th in a time of 1:42:16.

Monet Madeux completed the scoring for Tallahassee, finishing 43rd in a time of 1:50:32.

Ashley Jones and Ellie Stubblefield also competed in the race and finished with times of 1:54:16 and 2:05:36, respectively.
