TCC Athletics COVID-19 Game Day Protocols

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (October 16, 2020) – It won't be on campus, but Tallahassee Community College will host its first athletics event in more than seven months on Saturday, when cross country welcomes three Region 8 rivals to town for the TCC Eagle Invite.

The races, scheduled for 9 a.m. (men's 8K) and 9:45 a.m. (women's 5K), will take place at Apalachee Regional Park.

Chipola College, Florida Gateway College and Pensacola State College are scheduled to join the Eagles, who last hosted an event March 12 when St. Johns River State College visited the TCC Softball Complex.

In the 9 a.m. race, the nationally-ranked Eagle men (NJCAA No. 18) will be the only school on the starting line, but are expected to run against some unattached entries, in addition to the clock, as it continues to build towards the October 30 FCSAA Championships, also scheduled for the ARP.

NJCAA No. 21 Pensacola State headlines the women's field and, as the Eagles see their first competition since September 18.

Spectators are allowed but will be capped at a 1:1 ratio with the number of participants. All attendees will be asked to adhere to social distancing guidelines throughout the course and wear face coverings if/when that is not possible.
