TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (July 24, 2018) – Tallahassee Community College men's basketball standout Javien Williams has signed a national letter of intent with the University of Louisiana Monroe.

Williams, a native of Birmingham, Ala., transferred to Tallahassee in 2017 after playing his freshman season at the University of Alabama-Birmingham. The 6-foot-4 guard excelled in his lone season with head coach Mark White's Eagles.

Williams led Tallahassee in scoring at 16.8 points per game while also averaging 5.1 rebounds and 1.6 assists to earn First-team All-Panhandle Conference honors.

Williams got the job done in the classroom as well, earning NJCAA All-Academic Third-team honors in addition to being named All-Academic by both the FCSAA and Panhandle Conference.

Located in Monroe, La., the NCAA Division I Warhawks compete in the Sun Belt Conference.
